Highlights

  • Came to PC from Boulder, Co in 1997 after parents went to Russia to work as doctors there. She moved in with the sister, Sarah, and grandmother, Audrey.
  • Elizabeth and Sarah had a difficult relationship that only got worse when she developed a crush on Lucky Spencer who was interested in her sister Sarah. Sarah, however was interested in Nikolas Cassadine.
  • She was raped by Tom Yergin in the park on her way home from the Valentine’s Day dance in 1998; found by Lucas Lorenzo Spencer Jr. (Lucky). He became her pillar of strength and eventually they fell in love and made plans for a life together.
  • Lucky surprised Liz on Valentine’s Day with a new dress and by taking her to an empty church where they vowed to love each other forever, their permanent lock.
  • After Lucky’s death, Liz went to Jake’s Bar one night where Jason Morgan, came to her rescue from another male patron. They were immediately connected with one another and became very close.
    Lucky was found and Liz was overjoyed until they realized he’d been brainwashed and wasn’t the same. After some time they became close again.
  • Liz became a model for Laura Spencer’s company Deception Cosmetics because Lucky wantted her to and battled with Gia Campbell to be the Face of Deception; Gia eventually won but Liz wasn’t upset.
  • Liz constantly found herself running to Jason for support but thought she should be with Lucky.
  • After Lucky was hypnotized by Helena to forget his feelings for Liz, she had to fake her death. Sonny Corinthos helped to get her out of town until it was safe.
  • When she returned, she and Lucky were going to get married, but she called off the wedding at the altar when she realized Lucky hadn’t regained his feelings for her.
  • Liz was in a car accident caused by Gia but didn’t remember it. Nikolas and Gia were a couple and moved Liz into Wyndemere for her recovery and to protect Gia. Liz eventually remembered and was devastated by their betrayal.
  • Her sister, Sarah, had returned to town and had a growing attraction to Lucky. One night Liz found them in bed together in a room over Kelly’s Diner.
  • Liz was kidnapped by an enemy of Sonny and Jason’s and held in a crypt. Zander Smith who had worked for Sonny but now was not due to his hatred for Jason. He saw Liz’s kidnapping and was eventually kidnapped also and put in the crypt with her where they became close.
  • Liz was rescued once again by Jason. She and Zander staying in Jason’s penthouse for protection where she and Jason agreed to try to make their relationship work.
  • Liz found out that Jason had kept the secret of Sonny faking his death from her and was hurt and broke things off with him.
  • Shortly after Liz met Ric Lansing, Sonny’s half brother, she was attracted but still in love with Jason.
  • After Faith Roscoe and Ric’s plan to frame Jason for a murder was foiled and Liz found the ring Ric had bought to keep Courtney in line, Liz told Ric that if he’d ask, she would marry him. Faith was obsessed with Ric and wanted Liz dead.
  • Faith’s plan to kill Liz failed and only made her and Ric closer with a baby on the way. They were married immediately.
  • Not giving up, Faith pushed Liz down the stairs causing Liz to miscarry her and Ric’s baby but he thought it was Sonny’s fault.
  • While Ric had a pregnant Carly captive in the secret panic room of their house to get back at Sonny, he was also slipping birth control pills to Liz to keep her from getting pregnant again.
  • Liz found the room Carly was in but suffered an embolism due to the overdose of birth control before she could call anyone.
  • Courtney suffered a miscarriage and became jealous of Liz and Jason as they were once again becoming close because of Emily’s cancer. Courtney got hooked on painkillers and hit Liz with a car, leaving Liz temporarily blind.
  • Ric tried to get Liz back, but she knew he would always be trying to get vengeance against Sonny.
  • After one night seeking comfort with Zander Smith, who had just broken up with his wife, Emily, Liz became pregnant. She and Ric had worked their way back to one another and got remarried. They were going to raise the child as their own, but eventually Liz realized that Ric would never get past his obsession with Sonny and Jason and they divorced. She moved away to have her baby, Cameron, and when she returned she moved in with her grandmother, Audrey, and announced that she had decided to become a nurse just like her.
  • Liz and Jason were slowly rebuilding their friendship after her return to town.
  • Liz and Lucky eventually found their way back together but had money problems from his medical bills, her being a student nurse and raising a small child. Liz found a solution in being a surrogate for Courtney and Jax. She suffered another miscarriage after she and Jax were in an auto accident.
  • Liz and Lucky fell deeper in love as they leaned on one another again and decided to get married. Nik and Emily threw them a lavish wedding at Wyndemere, Oct 21, 2005
  • Soon Lucky became addicted to painkillers after an accident trying to save Liz from Manny Ruiz. Jason saved her once again.
  • Liz found Lucky in bed with Maxie Jones during a black out and after going to GH to try to work to take her mind off her cheating husband, she ended up at Jason’s PH where she found him in a similar state of mind. They comforted one another and finally gave in to the feelings they had had for one another for so long.
  • Liz realized she and Jason had used faulty condoms and she was pregnant. She had already asked Lucky for a divorce.
  • During an altercation where Lucky almost shot Liz, she blurted out that she was pregnant, Lucky assumed the baby was his and immediately checked himself in to rehab.
  • Liz told Jason the baby could be his and they decided to do a paternity test.
  • Liz got the results while Sonny was with her but he assumed the father was Lucky, as did Carly, and by the time Liz got to Jason’s PH to tell him that he was the father, Carly had already told him it was Lucky. He told Liz that it was for the best and he was happy for her. Before she could correct him Sam came in and Jason told her that baby wasn’t his, so she decided to keep the secret.
  • While Jason and Liz were trapped in the Metro-Court hotel elevator after the hostage crisis, Liz told Jason the baby was in fact his. After the shock wore off, Jason was thrilled and admitted he had felt regret that he wasn’t the father. They agreed to do whatever was best for the baby and to tell Sam and Lucky.
  • Neither could tell and finally decided that the baby would be safer if it was raised by Lucky because of Jason’s enemies.
  • Liz remarried Lucky even though she knew she had feelings for Jason.
  • The night of Liz’s delivery there was a horrible storm and Jason stopped by to check on her. He found her unconscious and brought her to the ER. He watched in fear as his son was born and as Liz fought for her life.
  • She named the baby Jacob Martin so that he would have the same initials as Jason since he’d never get to know his father. Sam overheard the conversation that Jake was Jason’s and knew it would only be a matter of time before she lost Jason to Liz.
  • Baby Jake was kidnapped while at the park with Liz and Cameron. A distraught Liz went to tell Jason who was being held at PCPD for the murder of Lorenzo Alcazar. He eventually got out on bail and found baby Jake with the help of Amelia Joffee, Sam’s producer. He was shocked to find out that Sam had watched his son being kidnapped and did nothing and then lied to everyone for days about it.
  • Lucky walked in just after Jason delivered their son to Liz. After hearing the story he had Jason arrested for breaking the terms of his bail. Jason finding Jake and then arresting Jason put more strain on Liz and Lucky’s already difficult marriage.
  • Sam used the issues of Liz and Lucky’s marriage to make Liz pay for taking Jason from her and paid thugs to hold up Liz and the boys at gunpoint in the park so she could save the day. Proving to Liz and Jason that his life was too dangerous for Liz but not for her.
  • The incident in the park happened the same day and Jason confessed his love to Liz but he realized his life was too dangerous for the family he wanted.
  • Liz and Lucky were divorced again but Sam wasn’t satisfied. Jason and Liz still had not told her that Jake wasn’t his.
  • During the B&W Ball, Sam forced the issue between Jason, Liz and Lucky. Lucky was furious and eventually stormed out.
  • After Jason told Liz about Emily’s death, they went to help Nikolas, Jason and Liz were both devastated. Shortly after Jason heard gunshots and left her alone with Nik but she was kidnapped by Anthony Zacchara.
  • Jason found Liz with Anthony holding a gun on her as she stood on the turrets of Wyndemere. He asked Jason if he would die for love and Jason took Liz’s hand and stood next to her. At the last minute, she jumped back, giving Jason the upper hand and Anthony Z himself jumped over the ledge.
  • After Emily’s funeral Liz decided she and Jason could meet in secret and still keep the boys safe by keeping up the pretense of Jake being Lucky’s.
  • They met for awhile at a safe house Jason setup for them and eventually were engaged until Carly called to tell Jason that Michael had been shot. Fearing for Elizabeth and the boys’ safety, Jason broke off their engagement admitting that he couldn’t live through it if anything happened to them.
  • Liz decided to fight for them until Jake was kidnapped again by the Russian mob. Once again, Jason found and returned his son to Liz’s waiting arms. Through tears, they both agreed that they could never see each other again.
  • Liz was assisting in a surgery when a bio-toxin was released and she was infected. She remained in the hospital for days but eventually was fine. Jason checked on her and Lucky stayed by her side. GH was destroyed, however, and while being rebuilt worked at Mercy General. GH is reopen now.
  • Liz and Lucky are still pretending that Jake is his but have agreed that they are better as friends since they are no longer in love with one another and Liz’s heart belongs to Jason.
